On Monday 16 December, 2013, the Trinidad Guardian put out a list of Caribbean books. This was their inspiration:
“This Christmas, why not give a Caribbean book? We’ve rounded up some of the best books of the year for children, young people and adults.”
Fury on Soufriere Hills was listed among those books for younger readers.
